Start with the substrate
The fabric is the wipe. Most quality wet wipes use spunlace nonwoven, a hydro-entangled fabric that is soft, strong when wet and low in lint. Ask your manufacturer which fibre blend they use (viscose, polyester or blends) and the fabric weight in GSM, because both change softness, absorbency and cost.
A manufacturer that also handles spunlace rolls can usually adjust the substrate to your brief rather than offering one fixed option.
Agree the lotion and its purpose
Baby, face, hand, antibacterial and household wipes each need a different lotion. Confirm whether the formula is alcohol-free, fragranced or unscented, and what documentation can be provided for your market.
Pick the right pack format
Format affects shelf appeal, unit cost and how the product is used:
- Single sachets — hotels, airlines, restaurants and events
- Soft packs with resealable lid — retail and everyday use
- Canisters and tubs — household and industrial cleaning
- Multipacks — supermarket promotions
Private label and branding
If you sell under your own brand, ask about artwork support, print quality on the film, and the minimum order per design. Restaurants and hotels often start with printed single-sachet wet towels carrying their logo.
Check export readiness
For GCC, Africa, Central Asia or North American buyers, confirm export cartons, palletisation, labelling language and the documents your importer needs. A UAE manufacturer near major ports such as Jebel Ali and Sharjah can ship by sea, air or courier.
Frequently asked questions
What fabric are wet wipes made from?
Most quality wet wipes use spunlace nonwoven, usually a blend of viscose and polyester. More viscose feels softer; more polyester adds strength and lowers cost.
Can I get private label wet wipes made in the UAE?
Yes. SGI Packaging produces private-label wet wipes and wet towels in Ajman with your logo printed on the pack. Share your artwork and quantity to get a quote.
What pack sizes are available for wet wipes?
Common formats are single sachets, soft packs with a resealable lid, canisters and multipacks. The right choice depends on where and how the wipes will be used.
Do you export wet wipes outside the UAE?
Yes. We ship by sea, air and courier to the GCC, wider Middle East, Africa, Caucasus and Central Asia, and North America.
